This history of Gergrunner comes from bit of an odd origin. My real name is Gregory Bate and what I'm going to talk about is how "gerg" came about. It all starts my sophomore year of high school in Massillon Ohio running for the Perry Panthers. Coming down to the end for the cross country season we were able to make it to the State competition. Being my first year of running i was quite excited and not to many knew me. Now our high school for some reason didn't put on a pep rally, so it ended up that we had a local elementary school put it on for us.

Now when we come into the auditorium there were posters all over, and when we finished the assembly we got all the ones that had your name on it. When we got back to the bus I was the only one with only one poster. The best part about it the kid got my name wrong or they were dyslectic. Write in the middle in big letters it seize "Gerg", and from there on out it just stuck. Still to this day i still have that poster and have be called Gerg as well.

So their is the Origin of the Gerg, now a little about my self. I currently live in Provo, UT and graduated just continuing my running career. I have decided that the college life really wasn't for me and i didn't want to make running my job. I found running with two different teams that i enjoyed it much more when i was helping. Whether it was perfecting someones form, or just giving motivational advice doing a workout. Now that I'm finished High School i currently coach on the side and love it more that anything else.

Well with my advice and advice from past coaches I have worked hard putting this site together to give every running need. Starting small with just Racing shoes and coaching advice it will evolve to every detail of the sport. So please take a look there are racing shoes for all types and advice for all runners, even if a coach.
